Liverpool have rejected a third bid from Barcelona for Philippe Coutinho – believed to be in the region of £114m(€125).

 

Bayern 3-1 Leverkusen: Debutants Sule and Tolisso net in Bundesliga opener

Bayern Munich opened their latest Bundesliga title defence with a 3-1 win against Bayer Leverkusen on Friday at a wet Allianz Arena. Debutants Niklas Sule and Corentin Tolisso gave Bayern an early two-goal lead. Robert Lewandowski then scored a penalty, before Admir Mehmedi hit back.

The former Juventus boss has responded to claims that the Blues are pricing their striker out of a move with humour rather than anger. Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte has laughed off Diego Costa’s claim that he has been “treated like a criminal” and insisted the striker “is the past.”
