Nepal 1-2 Pakistan

Nepal suffered 2-1 loss at the hands of Pakistan in the first Group ‘A’ match of the 12th edition of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship being held in Bangladesh on Tuesday. During the match played at the Dhaka-based Bangabandhu Stadium in Bangladesh, Mohammad Ali’s 96th minute header was the match decider for Pakistan. Earlier in the first-half of the game, Pakistan were awarded a penalty kick after skipper Biraj Maharjan fouled the opponent player in the box. Hasan Nabid Bashir of Pakistan scored the goal. However, Nepal equalised in the 82nd minute with a goal from Bimal Gharti Magar.

Bangladesh 2-0 Bhutan

Youngster Mahbubur Rahman Sufil netted a brilliant goal as Bangladesh kicked off their Saff Championship 2018 campaign in style, beating Bhutan comfortably 2-0 in the day’s second Group A encounter at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka Tuesday evening. It was sweet revenge for the men in red and green, who suffered a shocking defeat against the same opponent by a similar margin two years ago, which left Bangladesh with no international fixture in the next one year and a half.
