Champions League Group Stage Draw Information

The UEFA Champions League group stage draw takes place on Thursday at 10 pm Sri Lankan Time, streamed live on https://eplsl.com/live/ & telecast on Ten 2. Following are the teams that are qualified for the Group stage and the pot they will be in tonight’s draw.

Draw procedure

• No team can play a club from their own association, with the exact draw procedure to be confirmed before the ceremony.
• Following a decision by the UEFA Executive Committee, Ukrainian and Russian teams cannot be drawn against each other.
• The draw also establishes the groups for the UEFA Champions League path of the UEFA Youth League.
• The draw ceremony includes the vote for and presentation of the 2015/16 UEFA Best Player in Europe Awards for men and women.

Who can Leicester, Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City get in the Champions League draw?

The three teams who secured automatic qualification for the competition by virtue of their final position in the Premier League table are Leicester, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. Leicester, as champions, will be in pot one of four for the draw, while Arsenal will be in pot two and Spurs in pot three. Manchester City will join Arsenal in the second pot after making the group stage for a sixth season.
